I didn't realize lower Manhattan was marred by so many squared off
buildings. I always loved the
skyline pre-1960, before the Chase Manhattan bank was built - I'm not a fan
of glass walled towers,
especially with flat roofs.  The Empire State still looks classy in the
midtown shots compared to the
new stuff, as do the Columbia buildings, and I have to admit, the
horizontal structure with the curved
elements in one of the High Line shot is attractive.
