Leica Store Manchester sells the camera for 8300 GBP.? That converts to $10,300 USD. Duty in to the US is free..... Let's say shipping is free.... The US List price is $9000.? Even in states like California, where sales tax is almost 10%, buying direct in the US seems less costly.? Landed price would be about $10,000 How did you save $1000?? Is it the savings on the VAT that made this work?? (VAT is 20%... which is about a $2600 savings,,,,,) Which is how you did it..... US Based price is $9900 UK VAT-less price is $8700 And that is how you saved!!!! Brilliant!
