That Bosch thing is a laser distance and angle reading digital Log Table 
( remember those?)  It also has the ability to do Trig computations, and 
actually remembers how and what equations to use.

( I still have my Fathers' Log Tables from his time at MIT ( 1938-40)and 
use it whenever I must.) Yes, I am THAT nerdy.

The Math really is not so complicated, it is all about triangles, but 
that was like 50 years ago......
