Subject: [Leica] How are the chrome lenses selling ?

I've noticed that the silver lenses sell for quite a discount on the used
market relative to the black ones. Presumambly this means that no one wants
them. Are people not buying them new either?

Ray is correct. If a chrome 28mm is called for, the common choices are:

Ricoh GR 28/2.8 (discontinued)
Kobalux 28/3.5
Voigtlander 28/1.9 ASPH

All these are in LTM and an appropriate LTM-M adapter is required. For my
chrome M6 TTL 0.58, I have a chrome Voigtlander 28/1.9 ASPH.

Hope this helps.....
