Tina,

it appears that only security updates are going away - as far as I can 
see. It will still run W10.

I have a machine from HP that is about 15 years old and it still runs 
fine, and will do so for the forseeable. OK, it has been heavily 
upgraded with memory and disks to handle images, but...

It may be helpful to implement a VPN (virtual private network) - 
essentially a fancy modem with extra security features built in - to 
assist in reducing the possibility of attacks. There are good ones 
available from NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Norton VPN and a number of others. 
There are plenty of details and reviews online.
