She likes these sorts of things where dramas become crises. She's especially interested in anything involving water. As for myself and my sons, we all sailed, but my wife was never a fan of anything that wasn't solid underneath her. Even getting into a small boat was a challenge, let alone when I had her out in one and the weather changed. Choppy waters and a gusty wind quite unnerve her. She now seems to like watching this programme probably to pick up hints and tips, lest I suddenly get an urge to go out and buy another boat. Like motorbikes and skydiving, that's not going to happen. However, I was curious about one particular rescue which featured in Langstone Harbour, and had to look it up on the map. I saw it was adjacent to Portsmouth from which I have taken ferries to France a few times. So l also noticed Bosham on the map. Then, almost immediately, you gave us the Bosham Conundrum. My main focus was the cantilevered shoreline which I just found pulled my eye to it all the time. Hence I was only focused on that and not on the shadows or how it might be developed. Like my boating history which now consists of a couple of life jackets, an anchor, two oars and a needle in my garage (if they're still there, children you know?), my developing and printing history is in an adjacent room attached to the garage. I have an enlarger, multiple baths, chemicals, timers, forceps, pegs, etc all neatly piled for the past 15 years since I moved here. The only things that are missing there, are my resolve and motivation to use them. Mind you, I might find those again yet. I would certainly bow to Jayanand's more recent and extensive experience of printing. I hesitate to offer my fourpence worth of rapidly disappearing knowledge on the art of developing and printing. The only dipping I do these days is go for a swim. In fact I?m about to have one now! Douglas On 16/08/2025 09:48, Peter Dzwig wrote: > The shoreline is a bit of a pain.
