Tamioka was an independant contract manufacturer in Japan. They deviated
from standard double gauss designs. The Rollei 1.4 is a slightly modified
Zeiss Planer. The Rollei 1.8 is a Zeiss design of 7 elements largely
brought over from Voightlander.
