We have one of those monster TVs in the living room?funny enough, most of my
TV watching is on the iPad mini next to my computer. I watch lesser sports
(i.e. football games not involving Liverpool FC) and news on it. I only go
to the living room to watch important stuff, e.g. Liverpool FC games.

I think for the kind of use you describe, 32 inches is sufficient, but as
others have said, you do want as good quality as your budget allows.

Cheers,
Nathan
