The scanner situation has me worried as well. My Nikon is still holding up,
but the roll film feeder quit on me. I think there are some LEDs that need
to be replaced or something. It no longer senses when the film has been
fed. It pulls it in, then ejects it again. So the last sensor is probably
not picking up the data.

Film is getting a bit of a situation. But I just live with it. There are no
longer riches in choices, and that is kind of good. I've just settled on
two: HP5+ and Fomapan 400 (which is better around 250, but can do in a
pinch at higher EI's).
