Also some swamp smarts.
This has been kinda fun to watch and I do appreciate the concern for my
physical and mental health, but there are a few things I should probably
mention at this point.
This is George. He is the resident show gator at a wildlife park, and gets
three squares a day, 365 days a year, in exchange for not eating the
tourists, even the photographers. (We have too much cholesterol.)
He was lying in the only patch of sun for a hundred yards in any direction;
I was lying (freezing body parts off) in the shade of a big patch of buffalo
grass a good distance away. There was an inlet between us full of water
with frost ice on top of it.
(I was also about two steps from my truck.)
I know what gatorbait is. It looks kinda like this:
