I think there are two issues here.
1. Handy storage/backup device for travel when you really don't have
the time to edit much, nor willingness to lug a computer.
2. You want to see your images immediately or the same day for
editing and processing.
For the second you want a light but useable laptop, and you can add
external drives for image storage and backup.
For the first you want something that's small, has fast and reliable
downloads and holds a good charge and allows you to put in as large a
drive as you need. For this the Nexto devices are the answer.
In my view the Epson P series satisfies neither set of criteria, and
on top of that it's also very expensive.
