amount he wants for it makes it the most expensive 40 around.
I forgot about the 45/2 Planar (but I do have it!).

I have several of those, and a few others - a Pentax
40mm f2.8, and a Minolta 45mm f2. There are also
Contax 45mm f2 (G) and 2.8 (C/Y) lenses, and an
Olympus 40mm f2 (from memory) - in short, most
manufacturers have made at least one, but the 50 is
too deeply ingrained, I think.
