You are a gentleman, indeed, and a rather wise one. When Rosie and I
went to Alaska, we had the opportunity to travel to Victoria (" Ooooh!
It's like a whole different country!", My wife exclaimed.) and we had no
problem with any of the customs folks. In fact, I was a bit perplexed
that they didn't even want to stamp my heretofore virgin passport! A
kind word and a bit of patience does pay off when you are the guest of
' a whole different country' , and usually catches them off guard!
Dan ( I still like to tweak the noses of the local Philistines, though!)
Post
Note: Actually, locally, no one has ever said even 'BOO' to me, and I've
shot with everything from a Minox to a Crown Graphic even near the
airport! Maybe I look too innocuous; I must say that is the reason.
Since I have gotten older, I notice more and more young ladies holding
the door open for ME now- does that happen to you too, Ted?
