look about halfway down on the page i originally posted
from the smithsonian air and space museum:

under the caption SI #: 99-15170-4 "35mm camera"; it's a
Leica IG.  there's another 35mm camera further down on the
same page.

i was shown this URL from the space newsgroup; there's quite a bit
of folklore surrounding glenn's camera.
