Sorry , I meant to say obscura,  lucida came later, artists refer to them as
"lucys".  There were several other optical devices besides the CA available
at the time, I will have to dig that paper out.

I didn't think it was news that Vermeer used a camera obscura to help him
with
his work as did other painters. But what the heck is a Lucida?
