The consideration for me is shock. I have lateral luggage (hard plastic) and
on the bottom of these, I place a thick urethane foam block to absorb road
shock. The camera then is carried in a padded bag.
An alternative would be strapping the camera bag onto the rear seat, or
using a tank bag.
I would not carry one on my shoulder because moto clothing is bulky enough,
besides, usually I carry many items in my camera kit.
