I check my options on ie Outlook about plain text. In order
to unmark the "MIME" I had to choose "Uuencode". Not sure
what this is but would like to know if this comes over on
the LUG. I have had trouble at other times. Maybe this is
what was causing it.
Thanks
Fr. C

Housekeeping: some guidelines

We ask that messages about buying and selling cameras be
restricted to
Friday. If you face ruin or shame from waiting until Friday
to announce your
desire to buy or sell, no one will punish you, but we would
prefer that you
mind your manners and limit such postings to Fridays.

If you are trying to send a message to the LUG, you must
send it in
plain text. The Leica Users list does not accept "rich text"
mail,
which is also called "MIME" or "styled text".

As far as I know, every email program in the world except
AOL 6 is
capable of sending plain-text mail. Some make it harder than
others. If
you use AOL 6, you cannot send to the LUG.

Please do not use the LUG to publicise activities at public
commerce sites
such as eBay. We all know how to look there if we are
interested, and if we
are not interested, we don't want to read about it here. If
you are a
shopkeeper or a manufacturer and you believe that your wares
are of value to
the LUG members, you may from time to time remind us of the
existence of
your business.
