Well, I don't know what you mean by "most natural perspective," Bud,
but it suggests that perspective which is most nearly like that of our
human eyesight, and I believe, for the 35mm camera format, the "most
natural perspective" in that sense is provided by about an 85mm focal
length (regardless of film type). But of course I may be wrong (i.e.,
mis-remembering). And in any case, that is NOT to say that 85mm need
be your---or anyone's---PREFERRED focal length, which is another point
altogether (and, perhaps, what you really meant).

I've been following the discussion about preferences among various focal
lengths and I continue to feel that in the 35mm format using transparency
film, a medium telephoto is the most natural perspective.
I've found the 28mm lens to be like all-weather tires. Jack of all trades
and master of none. I spent a year photographing Western Europe where a
wide angle lens is crucial and much preferred the perspective of the 24mm
to the 28mm. I haven't had the opportunity to try the 21mm Elmarit-M.
