If you are projecting slides just for yourself, take any projector and put a
good lens on it.... zoom or otherwise.

If you are projecting slides as a living or part of a business or as a
speaker, then settle in on a Carousel and forget anything else, because it is
the standard in the industry and everyone and every hotel and instutition has
it available.
