We went into the city three times, once to visit the Legion of Honor Museum and then the Golden Gate, a second time to visit the City Lights Books, a place that has iconic status in world literature, and a third time to do the really touristy thing and take the ferry to visit Alcatraz island. This last outing was my wife?s wish (I am less keen on such things) but in the end I enjoyed the visit, mainly because the audio tour of the former prison is really well done, and the exhibitions inside really make you think about the futility of the way in which the US treats crime as well as the associated racism. Anyway, the result is a gallery of about 60 images: https://www.greatpix.eu/Travel/San-Francisco-August-2025 And as always, comments and critique are welcome and appreciated. A third, larger, gallery will follow, with photos from places other than Berkeley and San Francisco: the various small towns to the north, such as El Cerrito (where my son lives), Albany (where I met His Mooseness), Richmond where I cycled with my son, etc. Nathan Nathan Wajsman photo at frozenlight.eu http://www.fotocycle.dk/paws http://www.greatpix.eu http://www.frozenlight.eu @nwajsman.bsky.social ????? ???????! ?????? ?????!
