Nice photos!

I owned that lens since it was introduced in the Nikon DSLR/F Mount era. I
found it the perfect carry-around lightweight telephoto available at that
time. I never shot any macro stuff like the photos you have showcased here,
but to my mind you will get very few keepers, with any lens in fact,
because user movement will have an overly amplified effect. The way to
increase the proportion of keepers, if that is what you are after, is to
shoot on continuous mode.
