[Leica] New 300mm Lens

It could be your movement that is causing some unsharpness.  Unless the
point of focus is not on the eyes.  The only way to know is to bring out a
sturdy tripod, turn on eye focus and see what you get.

I believe that Doug H has said that a fair number of his shots don't meet
his admittedly very high standards.
