This pop up rose in my front yard continues to be a fine model for lens character: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/rose+with+Olympus+55+1_2.jpg.html The Lady Bird Wildflower Center has one set of fields that they use to try to recreate the short grass prairie that existed in central Texas before cattle were introduced. This field is a burn field that they burn off in the fall to recreate the periodic wildfires that coursed through the prairies: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/burn+field+Lady+Bird+Wildflower+Center.jpg.html This field is mowed every once in a while to simulate a herd of grazing beasts passing through. Interestingly Ted Turner is using buffalo in the upper plains to recreate the prairie. Different species graze on different species of grasses: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/Bluebonnet+at+Lady+Bird+Wildflower+Center.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
