Over the holiday weekend we dropped by San Antonio primarily to visit a few museums. During periods of no rain we visited some of the chain of missions that the Spanish monarch established in Texas in the late colonial period. What I found interesting is all three of the missions we visited had old mesquite trees that had definitely seen better days. Battered but still growing: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/San+Antonio+Mission+Mesquite+I.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/San+Antonio+Mission+Mesquite+IV.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/San+Antonio+Mission+Mesquite+II.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/San+Antonio+Mission+Mesquite+III.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
