He is passionate about traditional New Orleans jazz, and he and Carolina have made several trips to New Orleans, interviewing some of the greats for Carlos?s Youtube channel. One of those greats is Will Smith <https://www.preservationhall.com/people/will-smith/>, member of the Preservation Hall. Right now, Will Smith is in Spain, touring together with Carlos. They have played all over the country, and on Friday they performed in the municipality of San Juan de Alicante, a suburb next to the one in which I live, in an outdoor venue just 3 km from my house. It was a free concert, part of a jazz festival put on by the municipality. Of course I went, and I must say that even though traditional N.O. jazz is not my favourite jazz genre, I enjoyed it very much. Some of of my co-workers also went?Carolina has many friends in the office?and all had a good time. The explanation is very simple: next to the square where the concert was held there is a nursing home, and many of the residents were in attendance, often accompanied by their middle-aged children. As always, comments and critique are welcome and appreciated. I think it is fairly obvious who Will Smith is; Carlos is the guy with the curly hair and the banjo.
