Thank you for the images of your local artists' work. I have always been
drawn to these genres of art.

The resistance to AirBnBs is an interesting topic. We had one across the
street that was somewhat abusive as they frequently rented to partiers that
didn't want to trash their homes but thought it was fine to trash the
rental. I assume the rent was high enough to cover damages. Noise and
parking were annoying when it was rented.

On the flip side I just got back from Saratoga Springs which is a tourist
mecca during horse racing season. While a bedroom community for Albany and
New York government in Albany and a nice retirement place the town lives or
dies on tourism. Many of the historic buildings are subdivided into
rentals for the horse racing crowd.

I had the opportunity to listen to some merchants talking about the
relatively poor harvest from last years Belmont race and what the town was
doing to increase revenue harvesting from the Belmont week this year. The
residents around the track to the downtown district mostly all have plans
to deal with the influx of summer tourists. Mostly they are annoyed but do
enjoy the revenue boost and the income the middle to lower income tranch
receive which allows their lifestyle to be better with the more diverse
community around them.
