Just like a Muslim has to go to Mecca at least once, so a Liverpool supporter must attend a match at Anfield Road (the name of Liverpool?s stadium). For me, this was the second such occasion. The first one was 11 years ago, and in the meantime the stadium has been expanded and modernised, and Liverpool?s waterfront has several new impressive buildings. I was in town for about 36 hours, arriving at lunchtime on Wednesday and leaving Thursday late afternoon. Still, this gave me enough time to also enjoy the city and do some sightseeing.
