I have become more familiar with the masking tools in LR that make it much
easier to selectively alter portions of an image.  Also, the Topaz tools
have let me shoot at very high ISO's and remove the noise and accompanying
softness.  My Sony sensors have not been optimized for low noise like the
same sensors as used by Nikon.  I choose not to use internal noise
reduction as I prefer to make those changes in plain sight.
