Yes, liveries evolve over time. This one changed at first for 
visibility/safety reasons. Later there was room for design and branding 
refinements.

YN2 means the second generation of the yellow nosed version. Versions get 
rarer over time and thus become of railfan interest. It?s a lot like birders 
looking for unusual color variations in a bird - adds to the fun.
