[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Peter, On Instagram there are several short videos in which Sabine Weiss expresses very well the different street life today, just as she says there were not all the things that children have now, so the street was the place to meet and play, even today I perceive a big difference between the pictures I took in the 90s, even early 2000s and now, and as you very well say, leaving aside the privacy issues. Sabine Weiss says that recently at the Gare du Nord in Paris she saw a little girl with a sad attitude leaning on a railing, took out her little digital camera and took a picture. She was approached by some men who told her that if it wasn't for the fact that she was a senior citizen they would smash her face in. This is the world we live in, Ramon Massats a great Catalan photographer said it a long time ago, to take pictures of children you have to go to the "Third World?.
