[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Just as an addendum to Richard's LUG Print Exchange, which was conducted regularly for a few years in the past, those who are interested in doing digital print exchanges for B&W and/or Colour on a periodic basis can sign on for the group at the url given below. The signing up for each individual exchange will be broadcast within the group at regular intervals, with detailed instructions on how it works. As of now they consist of four quarterly exchanges every year of A4/Letter size prints, and one yearly large format exchange of A3 size prints, for each B&W and Colour, making 10 print exchanges in all. They used to be monthly small format exchanges, which were made once a quarter during the pandemic, due to the difficulty in getting prints across to the USA by all of us who live in the rest of the world: https://groups.io/g/print-exchanges The exchange was started in 2003 when printing neutral B&W on the printers available at that time was like a dark art, and this was set up as a print exchange which would double up as a support and learning group, and it has continued without a break since that year. I have been a member since 2004, I have learned almost all my printing techniques there, and I have a collection of over 2000 original prints only from this source. A colour exchange was added in 2009. Both these exchanges are restricted to digital inkjet printing. If anyone is interested, we would love to have you, we are always on the lookout for new members, and, so, please do sign up. To get your feet wet, do sign up to the LUG exchange that Richard has just announced, and discover the joys of receiving a package of original prints to sift through. IMHO, it is one of the best ways to enjoy photography!
