It has. The canal had been restored but it was totally devastated during 
Hurricane Agnes. It was drained and left dry. It is being restored a section 
at a time. You find three things along the canal these days. Places where it 
is just a dry ditch. Laces where in is restored and full of water, and 
places which for one reason or the other have become marshy.
