One of the cameras most often recommended to people who want to get into
film photography is the Canon AE-1. I have the impulse to say "they were
fine 45 years ago, but will they still work now?" I have two Pentax film
bodies with mirrors sitting lifelessly in the half-way position. Not worth
dealing with.
