Subject: [Leica] IMGs: Mondello testing

I have been ridiculously busy for the last while so haven't been
checking the LUG let alone photographing any thing. However, on Friday,
my equally old friend Brendan persuaded me to go down to Mondello Park
to help him test and bed in his "new" car - a 1970 Mallock M8b/16 with a
measly 1.6 litre engine - which he was racing today. Brendan is team
principal, chief mechanic, and number one driver for Bus Pass Racing.
Once you're over 66 here in Ireland (thanks to goddamm socialism :-)
Bless it) you can get free travel on public transport, so the team name
is his way of cocking a snoot at the young hard chargers who don't
relish getting passed by anyone older than them.

I brought the Sony and took some photos when I was down there with him.
Anyway, he finished 2nd in the historic sports car category today in his
first race only beaten by a very fast 4.6 litre MGB.

Here are some images from Friday: all can be seen large.
