[Leica] camera/bag strap question

I make sure the bag strap is long enough to have it sitting next to me with 
the strap still around my neck. It has to be pretty darned long for that.
At times, I?ve gotten Domke strapping and put that on a Domke bag which had 
always been most of my bags to get that longer length; replacing the short 
strap with a kind of hand made longer one I?ve gotten good at it.
And they will reach in and grab stuff out of there in the subway so I don?t 
have it hanging open and keep it in front of me.
And the bag itself is the flat messenger ubiquitous shape that both execs 
and students use to hold documents but still does not say ?camera bag? to 
people even though they are so popular for that purpose now.
