And Moose is way more known for his gear reviews, typing and teaching than his photos. Both photograph a hundred critters for every tree or cloud. Neither are purists in that they are using big fat DSLR's with big fat zooms on the front. Its great they are not afraid to use tripods I find them quite useful. A landscape photog shoots way less to no critters. Tends not not take his camera off his tripod and for sure using a larger format than 24x36. That's been modified in the digital age with the price of medium format gear to be people who are dedicated to it and do not consider it a passing hobby.
