I think the residents love this. The California Valley is probably the most
productive agricultural area in the world, but it is naturally a
desert.?Water
is a life or death issue in California, as evidenced by the water wars that
have
been waged here for over a century. You might enjoy the movie China Town
with
Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunnaway (sp?).
So there is the northern part of the state that gets most the Sierra runoff
from
the snows, and the Southern part of the state with this desert interior
valley
that steals it...
