Hi Nathan,

thanks.  He's not spreading rice, but grabbing a handful of salt to trow it 
up, over the ring, in order to ritually purify it.  Salt is a purifier, like 
holy water, in shinto.

Many shops and restaurants keep bowls heaped with salt outside their 
entrances to keep the place pure.

Really enjoyable, Peter. The one you chose to highlight earlier is great, 
but there are many really good ones where you have caught interesting action 
and/or expressions. I particularly like the one where the wrestler is 
looking at you while he is spreading rice (I assume that is what he is 
doing).
