Not a particularly well engineered comparison, but interesting never
the less. It provides some insight into the differences between an M9
and an MF camera (and incidentally, a Canon 1Ds III).
Some of the things they discovered are well known to users of Canons
and Leicas; ie, there is a 'veil' over the Canon images, and post
processing cannot achieve the accutance of the M9 images. Also,
putting a 24-105 zoom on the Canon is just giving away way too much
when the Leica sports a 50 ASPH.
But basically, an M9 can, with good technique, stand up quite well to
MF at sizes up to A3+.
