Thanks for looking, Michiel and Douglas. Yes, vinegar was provided, the 
mushy peas were sadly absent. Later, while walking around the town I did see 
other people enjoying their fish & chips with peas, so I guess I just chose 
the wrong place. However, the fish was good and fresh and there was in fact 
more fish than breading, always a good thing :-) I think the fish was cod.
