The Leica rep at the LHSA Meet Saturday session specifically made the point
that the M9 (and all previous M cameras) were "not waterproof" and should be
kept dry when shooting in a wet environment.
I'd take a chance with an M2/3/4 in the rain but not an M5/6/7/8/9.
