Oh man
You really need a bike. I live up here in Inwood (207th St on the A, 214th
St on the 1) I take the greenway west side greenway all the way to Battery
Park and I ride all around Manhattan. I am also known to ride at the
weirdest hours thanks to unemployment. Sometimes I leave at 2AM and ride
down broadway as far as it will take me. It's real peaceful and quiet. Other
times I cross into the Bronx and headf up Boston Road. So far I've gotten to
a few miles past New Rochelle. But I'm planning to go all the way to CT
soon. I go up Broadway past the Tapanzee all the time. I've made it to
Sleepy Hollow. Then there's Jersey and Queens! So far the only places I
haven't gone to are Brooklyn and Staten Island. Once you get a bike you
don't go back! BTW: There are some cycling advocacy groups that practically
give them away! We have to get you on a bike. As it stands I think I'm
inventing the new hobby of photocycling! That's unless someone else didn't
invent it first!
