clouds in the sky. And overcast days were like a huge soft box. So I was
lucky on that front. Venice especially had perfect overcast lighting and
Stonehedge was under clouds and rain making for a great mood for that site.
In Istanbul we were there on the day where they had torrential rains; most
in one day in 80 years. Though the camera lens fogged up occasionally and
got wet a few times, there were no problems as it is weather sealed.
We took the Princess line; a huge ship with 3,500 passengers. Not "top of
the line" but a lot of fun and a nice place to go back to at the end of long
touring days.
