[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Hi Charlie / Douglas Thanks for the tip, I am on holiday this coming week,
and have nothing planned, so providing I can square it with? "She who must
be obeyed " I might try and get down there. Douglas I have never ridden the
NYMR so I envy you, also the Severn Valley Railway have their autumn gala
25/26th September, with a pretty impressive line up of loco`s. Regards Phil

The GWR also has another famous steam locomotive worth mentioning - the City
of Truro was the first steam locomotive to travel at a speed in excess of
100 mph.
But a 9F like "Black Prince" can hardly be beaten for sheer size - a 2-10-0
is pretty colossal, if not quite as sleek as an A4 streak (I'm hoping to
taking a trip on the NYMR pulled by "Sir Nigel Gresley" in about 3 weeks.)
Cheers
Douglas
