I had (have) some relatives in New York, on City Island. They had a
colour tv set in 1957, and I remember one of my uncles lying in front
of it twiddling with the controls, trying to get the colour balance
within 50 units of acceptable. I don't remember him in any other
position.
I don't know how much it cost at that time, but they had lots of
money. As I recall, tv seemed to be their life.
