Also, when I was looking to buy, I don't think there was a 4880 yet; only a
4800. Very different technology; inks (I think), drop size, clogging
resistance, etc... But the 16" limitation was a real bummer for me and the
24" of the 7880 wasn't really much better...

When I was a child, my father had a friend who was a professor at the
University of Chicago and who lived in a building that used to be a bowling
alley or a livery stable or something like that. He probably had enough room
to park 50 automobiles in his living room. I remember him saying that he had
to buy a grand piano instead of a spinet because he didn't have anyplace
small enough to put the spinet.
