[Leica] books arrived - big THANK YOU to Jim, Geoff and Contributors

(Actually arrived on Saturday)
Just didn't have time to take a good look
or express my thoughts 'til today.

These annual collections
printed on real paper
and able to sit on real book shelves
are true treasures;
not only as lovely photographic books
but as memories of time spent
exchanging words and pictures
with all of you LUG members and contributors.

These two eclectic collections
of images from around the world
serve to further bond
this unique group of individuals;
and to serve as a legacy
of our having spent time together.

One can only marvel
at how technology
has allowed us
to come together, on line,
to share our love of images
(gear and technique) and
to print "on demand"
volumes of this quality.

While we could pick nits
about the press quality
and/or the self editing;
I choose to simply enjoy,
marvel and feel gratitude!

Thank you Jim and Geoff
for knowing
as well as
for taking the time and care
required to move such projects
from possibility to a reality
which we can hold in our hands
under a tree
without need
of a battery.
