Australian. I well remember my visit with George Lauterstein, and your
images bring back those wonderful memories. Yosemite is indeed a jewel: much
smaller jewel than I had realized from the AA images. Good luck with the
celluloid ;-)

Subject: [Leica] IMG: *WARNING - Cliche Photos*

Every other Friday Jim Brick and I usually get together for a photo road
trip. Usually we go down the Monterey/Big Sur coast; no end to the images
there.
Yesterday we decided to go to Yosemite. I picked Jim up at his house at 6am
(I left my house at 5:40ish). I got back to my house at about midnight. Long
day!
The roads inside Yosemite Park were mostly still closed from ice and
winter's ravages, so we were only able to go down in the valley and on the
road south (Tunnel Road I think). The first stop was Yosemite Falls; there
is an upper and lower falls:

One can walk down an easy path to the base of the Lower Yosemite Falls that
dumps into the Merced River:

At the end of the day, we photographed the view made famous by Ansel, from
the Tunnel Road turnout;

Fortunately, not many photographers ever heard of this location:

Technical stuff:
M8, 21mm and 35mm, with polarizing filter (except the last image). All
tripod (except the last image), shot RAW, converted in Lightroom.
Most of the day was spent shooting film; hope to be developing that tomorrow!
C&C always very much anticipated and appreciated,
Bob
