TWO very nice, chrome, CLA'd (cost $150 - overhauled by a competent
technician), classic, Model P bodies for Leica Thread Mount (LTM) lenses for
sale. One (# 727729 EP) has some scratches on a front corner and both have
the usual, wrinkled metal curtains that don??t affect operation whatsoever.
Otherwise, they are in great shape w/ no other dents, scratches or
blemishes. The vinyl coverings on both are perfect. RFs are clear, bright
and contrasty. I have recently used both and they are guaranteed to function
perfectly w/o any difficulties whatsoever.
If you read about the Model P, you'll see that it was an immensely
successful model in Japan and w/ US troops stationed there purchased through
PXs (stamped EP). Approximately 100,000 Model Ps were made from 1958-61 and
some even say it beats the Leica M2/3 in usability for easier rewinding and
reloading, and it??s plastic VF eyepiece won??t scratch your glasses--all at
1/2 to 1/3 the cost of the latter. It's a true, quality piece of machinery
though out and has stood the test of time w/ an enviable reputation for
rugged reliability. Compared to the quality and price of the current slate
of somewhat ??tinny?? Japanese- made LTM Rangefinders, it??s a genuine
bargain. You can read more about the Model P here:

I'm selling both because I have a ??new?? (and more expensive) Canon L1.
I??m asking $350 USD each, including FREE, insured shipping from Korea.
