Seems the world wide network of Leica dealers got wind of the Lee plans to
cut them out and cut him off. So we are back to normal "service". Lets hope
the old system can be efficient and that our M8'S are not gathering dust for
too long ;-)

I just got an e-mail from Leica.
Change in plans for the upgrade:
1120 Euros for the full upgrade
750 Euros for the Saphire glass only
800 Euros for the shutter only
One year warranty extension.
No 'presale certificates'. Work will be done starting August 08, and
can now be done in local service centers such as US, Japan, Hong Kong
etc.
